This is one of my favorite collaborations since I’ve worked at adidas. The objective was to create graphics that U.S. Military personnel would be proud to wear during physical training or while off base. Additionally, these graphics had to appeal to the civilian consumer because they would eventually be distributed through mass-market channels like department stores.
Given the broad scope of the target markets, these graphics had to be fashion forward, yet subdued. With the trend of hand-drawn illustrations taking over in the last couple of years, it seemed obvious what needed to be made.
